Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 September 2026 · Effective: 1 September 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of jobsformycv.com, our mobile applications and any related service (together, the "Platform") operated by Job For My CV Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 09482137 with its registered office at 27 Rivington Street, London EC2A 3DU.

By creating an account, publishing a vacancy, submitting an application or otherwise using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

The short version

Use the Platform honestly and lawfully. Candidates must not misrepresent their experience; employers must advertise real, lawful roles with accurate details. We verify what we reasonably can but we are not a party to your employment relationship, we do not guarantee outcomes, and we charge the fees published on our Pricing page with no hidden success fees.

1. Definitions

  • "Candidate" — an individual using the Platform to find work.
  • "Employer" — an organisation, or an individual acting for one, using the Platform to advertise roles, search candidates or buy services.
  • "User" — any person using the Platform, including Candidates, Employers and visitors.
  • "Content" — anything submitted to the Platform, including CVs, profiles, adverts, company descriptions, messages and reviews.
  • "Services" — the paid services described on our Services and Pricing pages, such as CV writing, job matching, sourcing, coaching and advert campaigns.
  • "Order" — your purchase of a Service or advert credit, accepted by us in writing or by activation.

2. Eligibility and your account

  1. You must be at least 16 years old, or older where your jurisdiction requires it, and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
  2. If you use the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
  3. You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
  4. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.
  5. Accounts are personal. You may not share, sell, rent or transfer an account without our written consent.
  6. We may refuse registration, or close an account, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

3. Candidate terms

  1. Accuracy. Everything in your profile, CV and applications must be truthful. Fabricating employment, qualifications or references is grounds for immediate termination and, where relevant, notification of the affected Employer.
  2. Your applications. Submitting an application creates no obligation on any Employer to respond, interview or hire. Employers set their own process and timelines.
  3. Visibility. Your profile is private unless you enable "open to offers". Enabling it allows verified Employers to find your profile through candidate search.
  4. Direct dealings. Any employment relationship is between you and the Employer. We are not your employer, agent or representative, and we are not a party to any contract you enter with an Employer.
  5. No fees to candidates for placement. We never charge a Candidate a fee for being placed in a role, and we will never ask a Candidate for payment to be considered for a vacancy. Report any such request to us immediately.
  6. Communications. Service messages relating to your account and applications are part of the service. Marketing and job alerts require your consent and can be switched off at any time.

4. Employer terms and advert rules

  1. Genuine vacancies only. Every advert must relate to a real, currently open position. Adverts used to build talent pools without a live role, to advertise franchises, training courses, MLM schemes or investment opportunities are prohibited.
  2. Accuracy. Job title, location, employment type, working pattern, salary information and the identity of the hiring organisation must be accurate and not misleading.
  3. Verification. We verify Employers against public registries before the first advert is published and re-confirm live adverts on a 21-day cycle. You agree to respond to verification requests within five working days; unverified adverts may be suspended.
  4. Lawful and non-discriminatory. Adverts must comply with applicable employment and equality law and must not state preferences based on protected characteristics, except where a genuine occupational requirement applies and is lawful in the relevant jurisdiction.
  5. Candidate data. You may use Candidate data received through the Platform only to assess that Candidate for the role they applied to, or for a role they have agreed to be considered for. You must not add Candidates to marketing lists, sell their data, or retain it beyond what applicable law allows. You act as an independent controller for that data.
  6. No onward transfer. Bulk extraction, scraping or systematic copying of Candidate profiles is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination and possible legal action.
  7. Fees. Advert and Service fees are those published on the Pricing page at the time of your Order. We do not charge percentage-of-salary placement fees.

5. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not use the Platform to:

  • Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, obscene or that infringes another party's rights;
  • Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with one;
  • Advertise adult services, gambling, unregulated financial products, or roles requiring payment from the Candidate;
  • Distribute malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system, or probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Platform;
  • Use bots, scrapers or automated means to access, copy or collect data, other than search engine crawlers acting in accordance with our robots.txt;
  • Circumvent rate limits, access controls or any measure designed to protect the Platform;
  • Resell, sublicense or commercially exploit any part of the Platform without our written consent;
  • Interfere with another User's use of the Platform, or send unsolicited commercial messages through it;
  • Use the Platform, or data obtained from it, to train a machine learning model without our express written permission.

We may remove content, suspend accounts and report unlawful activity to the authorities where we reasonably believe this section has been breached.

6. Fees, billing and refunds

  1. Prices. Fees are stated on the Pricing page and exclude VAT and other applicable taxes, which are added at checkout where required.
  2. Payment. Payment is due on placing an Order unless we have agreed invoicing terms in writing, in which case invoices are payable within 14 days.
  3. Late payment. We may suspend Services and charge statutory interest on overdue sums.
  4. Advert credits. Credits are valid for 12 months from purchase and are refundable while unused and unpublished.
  5. Candidate services. Services that have not started are refundable in full within 14 days of purchase. Once work has begun, we refund the unused proportion. Where you are a consumer, this does not affect your statutory cancellation rights; by asking us to begin within the 14-day cooling-off period you acknowledge that the refund will be proportionate to work completed.
  6. Sourcing campaigns. If a sourcing campaign does not deliver a qualified shortlist meeting the agreed scorecard within the agreed window, we run the next sourcing cycle at no additional cost. This is the sole remedy for a campaign that does not produce a shortlist.
  7. Subscriptions. Monthly services renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel at any time before the renewal date from your account; the service continues until the end of the paid period.
  8. Chargebacks. Raising a chargeback without first contacting us may result in suspension while the matter is investigated.

7. Your content and the licence you grant us

  1. You retain ownership of all Content you submit.
  2. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for formatting purposes, and display your Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform and providing the Services you have requested. This licence ends when you delete the Content, subject to backup cycles described in the Privacy Policy.
  3. You confirm that you own or have the rights to the Content you submit, and that it does not infringe any third-party right.
  4. We may remove Content that breaches these Terms, is the subject of a credible complaint, or that we are legally required to remove.
  5. We do not use Candidate CVs to train general-purpose machine learning models, and we do not license them to third parties for that purpose.

8. Our intellectual property

The Platform, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and the compilation of listings, is owned by Job For My CV Ltd or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, create derivative works from, or extract substantial parts of the Platform or its database without our prior written consent. "Job For My CV" and our logo are our trade marks and may not be used without permission.

9. Verification, listings and no guarantee

  1. We take reasonable steps to verify Employers and adverts, including registry checks and periodic re-confirmation. Verification reduces risk; it does not eliminate it, and it is not an endorsement of any Employer or role.
  2. We do not guarantee that any Candidate will receive an interview, an offer or employment, or that any Employer will find a suitable candidate.
  3. We do not guarantee that listings are complete, accurate or currently open at every moment, although we archive roles that fail re-confirmation.
  4. Salary figures shown are those provided by the Employer and are indicative. The final package is a matter between you and the Employer.
  5. Career advice published on the Platform is general information, not professional, legal, financial or immigration advice.
  6. Report a suspicious listing to [email protected]; we investigate every report and aim to act within one working day.

10. Availability and changes to the Platform

We aim to keep the Platform available at all times but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend access for maintenance, upgrades or emergency repairs, and we will give notice of planned downtime where reasonably practicable. We may add, change or remove features. Where a change materially reduces a paid Service you have already bought, you may cancel the remainder and receive a pro-rata refund.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We exclude all implied warranties, conditions and terms, including those of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by these Terms.

12. Limitation of liability

  1. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, loss of opportunity, or loss of or damage to data, however arising.
  2. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of any Employer or Candidate, for the outcome of any recruitment process, or for any employment relationship entered into through the Platform.
  3. Subject to the paragraph above on disclaimers, our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) £100.
  4. Each provision of this section operates separately. If any part is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply.

13. Indemnity

If you use the Platform other than as a consumer, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Job For My CV Ltd, its officers and employees against any claim, liability, loss, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your Content, or your unlawful use of the Platform or of data obtained through it.

14. Suspension and termination

  1. You may close your account at any time from your settings. Closure does not entitle you to a refund except as set out in the fees section.
  2. We may suspend or terminate access immediately where you breach these Terms, where we are required to by law, or where your use presents a security or legal risk to us or other Users.
  3. Where we suspend an account we will tell you why, unless doing so would prejudice an investigation or breach a legal obligation, and we will explain how to appeal.
  4. Sections concerning intellectual property, liability, indemnity and governing law survive termination.

15. Governing law and disputes

  1. These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
  2. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in the EEA you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence, and you benefit from any mandatory consumer protections of that country.
  3. Before commencing proceedings, we ask that you contact us so that we can try to resolve the matter directly. Most disputes are settled this way within two weeks.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Platform, our Services or applicable law. We will post the updated version here with a revised "last updated" date. Where changes are material, we will give registered Users at least 14 days' notice by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the new Terms, you may close your account and, where you have paid for a Service you can no longer use, request a pro-rata refund.
